“Sarah provided a variety of services to us in connection with our first baby. She taught us private birth preparation classes in our home, she was our birth photographer and support person, and she was our newborn photographer. Hiring Sarah for all of these services was the single best decision we made in connection with having our first baby. In all honesty, we are frugal and were skeptical about paying for any of these services. We didn't know how important they would be to us in the end. Now we can look back and confidently say that we couldn't be more grateful that we did. Sarah is dedicated, knowledgeable, maternal, non-judgmental, professional, talented and warm. Her private birth preparation classes in our home were flexible, informative and tailored to us. Her birth photography was gorgeous and raw. I thought I would be concerned about how I looked in the photos, and my husband thought he would be distracted by Sarah's presence while she took pictures, but neither proved true; we are so grateful to have had our birth documented in all its honest glory and that we weren't distracted trying to remember to take pictures of it all ourselves. We find ourselves already filling our baby's baby books with the photos and thinking about which we'd like to hang in our home. Sarah's birth support, provided in conjunction with her birth photography, was essential for us. Nothing went as expected or planned for our birth, but thanks to Sarah's birth preparation classes and presence, it was still more enjoyable and rewarding than we could have ever imagined birth being. She was truly dedicated to us. She was with us for over 24 hours at the hospital, barely sleeping herself, and when it was time for her to go and for us to be with our new baby, we were actually sad to have to leave. Finally, Sarah's newborn photography was beautiful and fun. We elected to do an herbal bath photoshoot at her home. Not only did Sarah make it enjoyable to hop into a calming herbal bath with my new baby, but the photos she captured are just stunning. The day your baby is born is full of so much emotion and excitement. Your birth story is one that should be remembered. Those sweet touches, your partners reactions, the journey you took to welcome your baby into this world. Like a wedding day, there are details that would otherwise be forgotten if it wasn't for those photos that you cherish and keep forever.
